A couple of years after Nan passed away, mum returned to work but this time with dad. She worked with dad, supposedly part-time, for the rest of her working life. This enabled them to let me go ice-skating. They bought me my own boots, had dresses made for me and paid for ice-skating lessons. Mum and dad always came with me to watch.
