Mum was always knitting too. She knitted clothes for both of us. She knitted herself a two piece suit once, but then she thought it was too clingy so she unpicked it and made me a jumper instead! Jean remembers mum knitting for her goddaughter Louise when she was a baby. She taught me to knit too at a very early age. She was a good teacher. Mum and dad taught me to read, write and count before I even started school.
